Noccalula Falls Park invites you to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the unveiling of the Noccalula Statue. The 50th Anniversary Statue Dinner will take place Thursday Sept. 19th at 6 p.m. in the newly renovated Kiwanis Pavilion. The Statue of Noccalula depicts the legend of a young Native American woman known widely for her character and beauty who met a tragic end at the falls.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Representatives from the City of Gadsden will be in attendance and the Gadsden Woman’s Club, the original donors of the statue, will offer remarks. Tickets for the event are $25 including dinner and drinks for the evening. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Woman’s Club. Noccalula Falls Park is a 250-acre public park located in Gadsden, Alabama. The main feature of the park is a 90-foot waterfall with a trail winding through Black Creek Gorge at its base. The park also features a petting zoo, mini-golf course, the Gilliland-Reese Covered Bridge and a replica 1863 C. P. Huntington train ride. Noccalula Falls Park was listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on May 12, 1976.
