GADSDEN, Alabama: Imagination Place Children’s Museum has a special day planned to allow children of all ages to get an up-close and personal chance to see and touch big trucks and heavy equipment of all sorts. The first Touch-a-Truck Day is Saturday, June 8 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Mort Glosser Amphitheatre parking lot on the corner of First Street and Walnut Street in downtown Gadsden. Visitors will have the chance to see and touch everything from first responder vehicles to sanitation trucks, to heavy earth-moving equipment. There will also be a video game truck and food vendors.
Admission is $10 per child (ages 2-17), FREE for children under 24 months, and FREE for adults (18 and up). Admission is discounted to only $5 per child for Hardin Center members. Tickets are available at the Hardin Center and at the gate. Parking is available in the Convention Hall lot and visitors should enter along First Street. Touch-a-Truck is sponsored by Gadsden Rotary Club, Gadsden Mall, Exchange Bank, and Buffalo Rock. The event is rain or shine and funds raised support Imagination Place.
