Individuals who find themselves struggling to pay old fines and court costs and those with old warrants will soon be getting a break. That is, if they take advantage of the limited time offer of Amnesty Day on March 27, 2019 at the Municipal Court of Gadsden beginning at 8:00a.m. until 12:00p.m. and from 1:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. The Court is located at 1511 Campbell Avenue, Gadsden, Alabama.
Municipal Court Presiding Judge, Patricia Granger states that this amnesty period will allow those who have unpaid fines and outstanding warrants with the City to show up at the court office to make those payments. If overdue fines are paid, then the warrant will be pulled and the individual will not be arrested.
Judge Granger states she will accept cash payments amounting to one half of what is owed by those with unpaid fines and costs as well as those with outstanding warrants who have unpaid fines and costs.
