IMG_2683

During the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, Mayor Guyton honored the City of Gadsden Staff, Caterers, Vendors, Suppliers and Contractors along with The Venue at Coosa Landing with a proclamation for “The Venue at Coosa Landing Day.”  The Venue at Coosa Landing is the City of Gadsden’s newest state-of-the-art event facility and is located on the banks of the Coosa River.

Tuesday, September 25, 2018, The Venue at Coosa Landing hosted an Open House Event to celebrate the grand opening of the facility.  The Venue had over 4,000 people in attendance who walked throughout the spacious 55,000 square foot facility, making the event an exciting and successful evening that Gadsden will never forget! The event brought such an overwhelmingly positive response, that Mayor Guyton would like to continue this event annually for the residents of Gadsden, and will refer to October 2nd as “The Venue at Coosa Landing Day.”

Mayor Guyton acknowledged that the Open House event would not have been as successful without many of the local businesses in the Gadsden and Etowah County area, which all played vital roles during the event. The vibrant entertainment for the event was provided by Dr. Leder with the Gadsden State Show Band. The wonderful hospitality was provided by the Gadsden City High School Titan Ambassadors. The beautiful floral arrangements were provided by: Benny Campbell at Attalla Florist, Joy’s Flowers, Ferguson Florist, Rococo Floral Studio, Abby’s Florist, and Southern House of Flowers. The amazing catering was provided by: Beautiful Rainbow Catering Company, Capeside Fish Company, Chick-fil-A, Cothran’s Bakery, Jenarda's Catering and Event Planning, Little Bridge Marina, Local Joe’s Catering, Palermo’s Italian Grill, Sugar Moon Restaurant and Catering, and Tony’s. The kid-friendly activities and face painting were provided by the Imagination Place at the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts and the Gadsden Museum of Art.

Mayor Guyton extended appreciation to thank the local contractors and suppliers who worked on the facility including General Contractor Chase Building Group.

The Venue at Coosa Landing will continue to be a wonderful asset to the City of Gadsden, and The Venue looks forward to hosting and making many more memories for Gadsden residents for years to come.
