Bridges to be Closed for Regular Inspections 

Gadsden, AL- Two Gadsden Bridges, Broad Street and Forrest Avenue, will be closed for inspections on Sunday, January 28th. The Broad Street Bridge will be closed from 7 a.m. until approximately Noon for its annual inspection. Traffic should use the Meighan Boulevard bridge as a local detour. The Forrest Avenue Bridge near the Gulf States Steel Plant will be inspected after the Broad Street Bridge and should be open by mid-afternoon. Traffic will be diverted away from inspection vehicles by lane closures during the inspection.
