The Gadsden/Etowah County Emergency Management Agency is in the process of updating our county’s Hazard Mitigation Plan and Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA). These documents allow us to increase awareness around the threats, hazards, and vulnerabilities we face as a county. They also serve as conditions for receiving certain types of non-emergency disaster assistance. In order to make effective changes to these plans we are requesting critical feedback from our community. We will be handing out short surveys on preparedness throughout the area. You may also take the survey online by following this link:https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X6DJ8V7 . Together we can ensure that Etowah County is prepared for any emergency situation that may arise.
