GADSDEN, Alabama – Are you ready to get your tutu on?
The Downtown Dance Conservatory of the Hardin Center for Cultural Arts is sponsoring the 4th annual Tutu2K run this Thursday, September 28 at 6 pm. in downtown Gadsden. The event is open to all ages and abilities. Participants may walk or run. The event is also pet-friendly.
Registration is $25 for individuals. Registration for families and teams of 3 to 6 people is $55.
Prizes from local businesses will be given to the top time male and female winners of 3 age categories. A creative tutu/costume award will also be given. Starshine Faces will be at the check-in for pre-race face painting from 5-6 pm.
Proceeds will benefit the students and programs of the Downtown Dance Conservatory.
Registration includes a T-shirt. Participants may register at the event or online through www.active.com. Check-in begins at 5:00 pm at 7th and Broad in the Downtown Gadsden Inc. parking lot. The route will go down Broad Street, turn around at First Street and end at the Hardin Center.
The event is sponsored by Gadsden Orthopedics, Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial, Rainbow Pediatrics, and Wilborn Orthodontics.
The Downtown Dance Conservatory is a project of the Gadsden Cultural Arts Foundation and provides weekly dance instruction to over 500 participants.
