Gadsden, Alabama – Visitors to Noccaula Falls will soon notice some seasonal guests, a variety of scarecrows, at the park and anyone can participate. This year Noccalula Falls is hosting the Scarecrow walk. On display from October 7th-14th, individuals, businesses, churches, schools and other organizations are invited to enter a scarecrow display for the contest at Noccalula Falls Park.
The entry fee is $20 and each entrant will be able to decorate a 10’x10’ space on October 6th. Judging will take place on Oct. 7th and 8th by the park visitors. Ribbons will be awarded to the winning scarecrows on Monday, October 9th and the winners will be announced at the Halloween Super Bash on October 14th.
Entries must be homemade and Winners will receive $100 cash – 1st place, $50 park gift certificate – 2nd place, 4 Christmas at the Falls passes – 3rd place.
