There’s no better (or more fun) way to get in shape this summer than with free Zumba classes through Gadsden’s Parks and Recreation Department! Parks and Recreation will be offering three 4-week Strong sessions at various locations around town for anyone who wants to participate.
Strong by Zumba is a high impact workout routine that helps create resistance in the body and tones the legs and core muscles. Alex Guerrero is bringing his nine years of fitness training experience to the classes as the instructor for all three sessions. Guerrero has taught spin, Zumba, Strong by Zumba, and merengue, salsa and bachata rhythm classes and has worked as a physical trainer.
Two classes are still open: June 5-29 under the bridge at Coosa Landing and July 3-27 at the Mort Glosser Amphitheater. These classes will meet each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7-9 a.m. at their respective locations. Registration will be the first day of class, June 5 and July 3, at 6:30 a.m
For more information, contact Alex Guerrero at (256) 328-5252, Mildred German at (256) 691-4870, or the Parks and Recreation Office at (256) 549-4658.
