Downtown Gadsden- It’s almost November! And that means First Friday is just around the corner. On Friday November 4th, Downtown Gadsden Inc. invites you to come downtown to enjoy the festivities and the beautiful fall weather at First Friday. This month, we fall back to our winter hours from 5pm-8pm. Downtown merchants will be open late with specials and sales to help celebrate fall and what a great opportunity to get an early start on your Christmas shopping! Food vendors will line the 400 block of Broad Street and Classic cars will cruise in and be on display. Also, make sure to explore our local art galleries and discover all that is great about Downtown Gadsden.
The Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts Center and Imagination will be open with extended hours to 8pm. It’s one of your last chances to see the works of Victoria Lowe exhibit on display. The show will end on November 10th.
The Gadsden Museum of Art will have an opening reception for Grounded by Jennifer Allen. The reception will be from 5pm-7pm. Stop by and check out the new exhibit.
The Gadsden Elks Lodge #1314 will be set-up at 2nd and Broad Streets with their drug awareness program. Everyone can stop by and shoot some hoops and register for the Lodge’s hoop shoot competition in January. The competition in January is for individuals between the ages of 8 and 13.
As a reminder to all, pets are not allowed at First Friday.
