Gadsden Fleet Management
Fleet management works out of the Fleet Management Complex. We are responsible for the purchase and repair of all city vehicles and small equipment. We are also responsible for discarding all retired city property through GovDeals, an online auction. The main repair shop has 18 repair bays for everything from passenger cars to heavy equipment and a small engine shop for mowers and other small equipment. We also have a welding shop, providing repairs for trailers, as well as fabricating assistance to other departments.

The parts room keeps an inventory of most needed parts and searches out the nearest supplier with the best price on one-of-a-kind items. The division goal is to provide safe transportation with minimum down time at minimum cost.
