Ms. Baker has worked in municipal government since 1990 with experience in purchasing, finance, grant writing and grant management. 

She holds various certifications from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Jacksonville State University, and the University of Alabama.  She has emergency management and Alabama ethics law training.
