Roger Kirby, City Attorney A native of Gadsden, Kirby graduated from the University of Alabama in 1971 and from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1976. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable L. Charles Wright, then Presiding Judge of the Court of Civil Appeals of Alabama, from 1976-77. After a brief private practice in Gadsden, he was employed as full-time City Attorney in July 1978. He also received an LL.M. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1989. The City Attorney is responsible for the overall supervision and management of the legal services of the city. He processes and reviews all claims filed against the city. He oversees cable television regulation. He represents all and attends most municipal board meetings. |
