Public Review of a Draft of the City of Gadsden’s 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report (CAPER)

The City of Gadsden will accept comments on its 2020 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Consolidated Annual Performance & Evaluation Report (CAPER) beginning Wednesday, August 11, 2021 and ending Thursday, August 26, 2021 which represents the City’s required 15-day comment period.

The City is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to annually submit a CAPER.  This report provides an assessment of the City’s progress in carrying out its five-year Consolidated Plan and its one-year Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.  The purpose of this notice is to make the CAPER available to the public for comments prior to its submittal to HUD.

Draft copies of the 2020 CAPER will be available for review and comment by the public on the City’s website (www.cityofgadsden.com) and at Gadsden City Hall (90 Broad Street) in the Community Development Department, Room 310.  

The City will receive comments until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021.  Comments should be directed to Renee’ Baker at rbaker@cityofgadsden.com or mailed to Renee’ Baker, City of Gadsden, P.O. Box 267, Gadsden, AL 35902-0267

No displacement will occur because of the activities described herein.  The City of Gadsden does not discriminate based on disability in the admission of, access to, treatment of, or employment, in the programs and activities described herein.  An interpreter is available upon request to assist persons with limited English proficiency.  Any requests for reasonable accommodation required by an individual to fully participate in any open meetings, programs, or activities of the City of Gadsden’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program should be directed to Renee’ Baker at rbaker@cityofgadsden.com or by calling 256-549-4532.
