Public Works crews from the City of Gadsden are working with Alabama Power crews to safely and quickly address storm damage from the severe weather event Sunday, April 12, 2020. To aid the recovery process please avoid unnecessary in the areas affected by the storm. Many roads around Scenic Highway are barricaded or closed because of downed power lines and debris covering the road. Please do not drive around the barricades. The barricades will be removed when the roads are cleared. By avoiding the area and preventing unnecessary traffic the work crews can safely and quickly clean up the large amount of debris, and restore access and service to all residents.
