Gadsden, AL- Weather permitting; the Broad Street Bridge will be closed for regular inspection on Saturday, January 11, 2020. The bridge will be closed at approximately 7 a.m. and will reopen after completion of the inspection. Traffic should use the Meighan Boulevard bridge as a local detour.
Later Saturday, the 11th, The Forrest Avenue Bridge, between 29th Street and Van Del Blvd., will be inspected after Broad Street inspection is completed. This inspection will require temporary lane closures. The inspection times are approximate and the window could change due to conditions and considerations. Motorists should take care and follow noted closures and signs to allow for quick and safe regular inspections of these two bridges.
