The Active Shooter Incident Management with Complex Incidents (ASIM-CI) course provides a model framework to improve incident management and the integration of law enforcement, fire and EMS responders during active shooter event response, improving time to threat neutralization, medical intervention, and survivability of victims. This is an integrated response course for a cross-discipline audience of 25 law enforcement, 20 fire/EMS, and 5 telecommunicator (dispatcher) participants of mixed rank This course is provided through the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium as part of Texas A M University and taught by C3 Pathways - a unique emergency response training, exercise, and consulting organization with deep roots in public safety and technology. C3 Pathways blends real-world live action and the Imagineering of computer simulation to all levels of training for today’s law enforcement, fire, and EMS first responders -- integrated with 911, communications, hospitals, emergency management, and all public safety professionals..

By working with Pathways CEO, Bill Godfrey, the Gadsden/Etowah County EMA was able to bring $60,000 worth of training to area first responders at a miniscule cost thanks to grant funding afforded to the agency.
