DGI logo

Downtown Gadsden- September’s First Friday will kick off on September 7th from 6-9 pm. Everyone is invited to come downtown to enjoy family-friendly fun. Many downtown stores stay open after business hours to allow for convenient shopping. Food vendors will be lined up down Broad Street offering a variety of delicious snacks, and restaurants will be open as well. Classic cars will cruise-in and be on display.

The live music for the evening will be Cheryl’s School of Rock on 2nd & Broad, Two Tone Willie on 3rd & Broad, Matt Harvey Band on 4th & Broad, Foggy Hollow on 5th & Broad, and Reverend Tex and the Hot Rod Revival in the 600 Block.

To finish out the evening, the Summer Concert Series at the Amp will be hosting Chicago Rewired (A Chicago tribute band) from 8:30-10:30pm. The free concert is suitable for all ages. Coolers and seat cushions are welcomed for fun and relaxation, and Local Joe’s will be selling concessions.

Start your day early at the Farmer’s Market at the 5th Street Market. Friday hours are 7:00 am- noon.

Broad Street will be closed from 1st Street to 7th Street starting at 4pm and they will reopen after the First Friday event. As a friendly reminder, no pets are allowed.
