[ARCHIVED] Free Day at Noccalula Falls

My Post (9)

Gadsden, AL- Noccalula Falls Park and the City of Gadsden will be hosting a free day at the park on Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. The event celebrates the newly restored Pioneer Village and updated Black Creek Trails. Many improvements have been made to the park like the new boardwalk, which provides an amazing and safe observation view of the Falls, updated walking trails, a nearly finished Kiwanis Pavilion,  and “The Workshop” where we will hold educational classes and activities throughout the year. The project has been a multi-year renovation, and the City of Gadsden is thrilled to host you and your family for a fun day at the park. Please note some areas of construction are still underway; please pardon our progress as we continue to upgrade the other areas of the park.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. in front of the entry pavilion on the park side of the venue. All ages are welcome to attend the event, and parking is free. We encourage families to come out early and explore all the updated improvements we’ve made to the park.  Admission to the park is free, but other activities like mini golf and  the gift shop will be open and have regular charges.

The park is located just over two miles from Downtown Gadsden. Noccalula Falls Park and Campground will allow you to escape into a beautiful scenery of nature and history right in the heart of Gadsden. The main attractions at the park feature: The Falls, a petting zoo, mini golf, campgrounds, cabins, the wedding chapel, C.P. Huntington train, and the Black Creek Trails. If you are looking for an exciting day at a local park,  Noccalula Falls has it all and so much more!
