The objective of the Community Development Block Grant
Program (CDBG) is to develop viable urban communities by providing decent
housing, a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic
opportunities; mainly for low-moderate income persons.
The City of Gadsden will hold a public hearing to allow
citizens an opportunity to provide suggestions on projects for Fiscal Year 2018
which begins June 1, 2018. Fair housing
information will also be provided.
The hearing will be held on December 6, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in
the Council Chambers of Gadsden City Hall.
All proposals and requests for funding must be submitted to
the Community Development Department, 90 Broad Street, Room 310, not later than
January 26, 2018. Applications are available from the Community Development Department, Room 310, Gadsden City Hall or online at www.cityofgadsden.com.
Everyone is invited to attend. Persons with disabilities who need special
