August 4th is First Friday in Downtown Gadsden. We invite you to come join us downtown from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., stroll up and down the sidewalks and enjoy the festivities! Downtown merchants will be open late with specials to help celebrate summer and you will be sure to find the perfect back to school items you need. Food vendors will line the 400 block of Broad Street and classic cars will cruise in and be on display.
Live entertainment will be located at 5 different locations: The Sinners at 2nd and Broad, Jamie Early at 3rd and Broad, Peanut and Mother May I at 4th and Broad, Jeremy Jackson at 5th and Broad, and Ed Howard Band in front of the Pitman Theater.
After you’ve enjoyed all the First Friday activities, make your way over to the Mort Glosser Amphitheater for the Summer Concert Series. This month will feature Departure: The Journey Tribute Band. The free concert begins at 8:30. Bring your coolers and cushions and enjoy the show!
As a reminder to all, pets are not allowed at First Friday.
