The City of Gadsden’s 5th Street Market is excited to announce the opening of its Turnip Tuesday market on Tuesday, July 11th. The market will be open every Tuesday evening from July 11th to September 26th from 4-8 p.m. at the recently renovated 5th Street Market. Through our Local Farmers Market on Fridays we’ve heard that you want more opportunities to shop for produce from our local farmers. If you haven’t been able to make it on Friday mornings, then Turnip Tuesday is for you!
Turnip Tuesday is open to any interested vendors and will feature added attractions such as live music and food vendors. Vendors at Turnip Tuesday will have a range of goods available, from locally grown produce to homemade craft items and more. As our market grows and expands we hope to host a wide range of music, food vendors, arts, crafts and more.
The 5th Street Market invites shoppers to join them in this new venture. Turnip Tuesday’s evening hours are presented in an effort to make produce, locally created goods, live music and more available to as many people as possible and to promote local farmers and businesses.
Contact 5th Street Market manager Ve Etta Watford at (256) 441-0572 or 5thstreetmarket@cityofgadsden.com for more information or to become a vendor.
