Gadsden, AL— The Easter Bunny will be making his annual stop in Gadsden at the city-wide Easter Egg Hunt this Thursday, April 13, 2017. The City of Gadsden’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Gadsden Sports Complex at 1500 West Meighan Blvd. in Gadsden. The gates open at 5 p.m. with the hunt starting at 6 p.m., don’t miss out!
The event is provided for children ages 10 and under. Participants can hunt Easter eggs on the sports complex fields. Parents can accompany children 4 years old and younger on the field to hunt eggs. Fields will be divided into age groups of: 1-4 years old, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10. Eggs will be filled with candy and there will even be special prize eggs hidden among the others.
In addition to the egg hunt, you can take photos with the Easter Bunny, see Big Sam the Balloon Man, pet rabbits from Noccalula Falls petting zoo, see Sparky the Fire Dog from the Gadsden Fire Department, stop by EMA Weather Awareness exhibits, see Sarrell Dental, and find out more about the United Way. The concession stand will be open at the Sports Complex for snacks and drinks. McDonald’s and Walmart are sponsoring this City of Gadsden Parks and Recreation event.
