The Senior Activity Center is woven very deeply into the fabric of downtown Gadsden and it connects with multiple locations in the 600 block of Broad Street including the Pitman Theatre and the Water Wall courtyard. In addition, the center has many spaces inside, including Parks & Recreation offices, classrooms, library, sitting area and the central meeting space that makes the Senior Activity Center such a desirable venue.

Several community figures, business owners and non-profit group leaders have approached the city about renaming the Senior Activity Center and the City wants to open up the naming process to the public.
